Regarding Business Succession in the Entertainment Domain

In Japan, the aging of business owners and the lack of successors have become serious management issues. Particularly in small and medium-sized enterprises, cases are increasing where businesses are forced to choose closure due to the inability to find a successor, despite having stable performance.

This is not merely a shortage of human resources, but a structural problem that could lead to the loss of local employment, business partners, technology/know-how, and the trust built up over many years.

Under these circumstances, in addition to succession within the family or company, the importance of business succession to a third party, namely M&A, is increasing. M&A is an effective option to ensure the survival and growth of the company, and to pass on employee employment, relationships with business partners, and contributions to the local economy to the next generation.

When integrating into the group through M&A, our company adopts a management policy that respects not only the company names of our partners but also their cultures and individualities as much as possible. This is because we believe these factors are indispensable for the provision and co-creation of original entertainment services. Here, we introduce interviews with representatives who have joined our company so far as case studies. We hope this will serve as an opportunity to encounter wonderful partners in the future.
